Interprets Virtually Any Visual Assay
GenPrime’s lateral flow test reader uses a patented image-analysis algorithm that offers line-recognition and quantification that is comparable to results from gas chromatography mass spectrometry. The reader captures an image of the inserted lateral flow test device and determines the presence or absence of device-specific indicators for each analyte in order to provide qualitative, semi-quantitative or quantitative results. The algorithm also confirms the validity of the results by verifying the presence of control lines and other device attributes. GenPrime’s POC Reader can read and interpret:
- Multiple test formats – cups, cassettes, dip cards, single strips
- Multi-channel and muliplexed devices
- Multiple test types – lines, colors, pads, dots, as well as patterns
- Results can be Qualitative, Semi-Quantitative or Fully Quantitative
Scalable for Multiple Assay Analysis
GenPrime’s diagnostic reader can do one test a day or complete hundreds of samples. It can be adapted with hardware to capture images with the appropriate footprint for any volume of testing.
Integrates with LIS and EMR Systems
GenPrime’s lateral flow reader platform uses HL7 protocols for transferring and communicating health information data—the same ones used for connected diagnostics by most healthcare providers. This allows our lateral flow reader to easily share with all of your LIS and EMR databases. To prevent clerical errors, our reader also scans bar codes and stores all images and electronic results automatically. Many IVD programs have smoothly transitioned from visual diagnostics with transcription to more accurate, connected systems.
Modular Design for Interconnected Devices
GenPrime’s rapid test reader is designed modularly and can include computer hardware or be deployed on your own computer. Because it is software-based, the application can run on any Windows device, including laptops, tablets, and servers (including cloud-based servers). Results are recorded and logged into a database along with an image of the test, patient and operator information, and the time of image capture. The results can be viewed, printed, or sent to a recipient via email or other electronic method.
Rapid Reader Specifications
GenPrime’s platform consists of a small, portable, high-resolution flatbed scanner and customized software. The scanner has a lid with a custom opening for the test device as well as a stand that puts it at the appropriate angle for running and reading tests.
