GenPrime® Inc. hires medtech executive, restructures internal leadership.

SPOKANE, WA – July 2021 – GenPrime, Inc., is pleased to announce several key leadership changes within its corporate structure.  “Over the past 18 months, GenPrime has developed new & novel technologies in response to and in anticipation of exciting trends in the market,” stated CEO Buck Somes.  “These moves will position the company to better tackle these emerging opportunities.”

Dr. Richard Van Bibber joined GenPrime in May of 2021 as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Dr. Van Bibber holds a PhD in Physiology & Biophysics from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Throughout a 20+ year career in medtech, he has established a strong reputation for bringing an exceptionally high level of clinical, technical, and regulatory expertise to product development processes. He has held senior positions at several start-ups, advancing product development from early pre-clinical studies through commercialization, and has a track record of multiple successful exits.

In addition to Dr. Van Bibber’s hiring, the company has also made several internal moves as well:

  • Marie Fazio-Miller was promoted to Director of Operations, and will work closely with the CTO to manage the company’s research & development efforts for GenPrime’s lab-based and mobile product lines. She will also oversee the transition of products from R&D to Manufacturing.

  • Gina Korn was promoted to Senior Software QA Engineer. She will serve as a bridge between GenPrime’s R&D department and the company’s partners, ensuring that customizations to software meet all performance & quality standards for their respective applications.

“Together, these additions and changes to our team position us to aggressively take advantage of our targeted market opportunities,” said Buck Somes.  “I couldn’t’ be more excited about our team and our future.”
